Frequently asked questions
Short, honest answers. If yours is not here, email hello@getpeptidal.com.
Is PEPTIDAL medical advice?
No. PEPTIDAL is for tracking and information only. It does not diagnose, treat or recommend anything, and it is not a medical device. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about anything you take.
Does PEPTIDAL sell or supply anything?
No. PEPTIDAL sells and supplies nothing. There are no shop links, no affiliate links, no discount codes and no information about where to get anything.
Does the calculator tell me how much to take?
No. The calculator only converts numbers you type in, for example the amount in a vial, the liquid added and the amount you have already decided on with your prescriber or supplier. It does not know what is right for you and it does not recommend anything. Check any figure you rely on with the person who prescribed or supplied the product.
What is AL and where does my data go?
AL is an optional AI assistant that gives general information. It is off until you agree on a consent screen. If you agree, your messages and some of what you have logged are sent through our server to Anthropic PBC, a company in the United States, so AL can reply. We do not send your name, email address or account ID. The AL page lists exactly what is sent.
Can I use PEPTIDAL without AL?
Yes. AL is optional and everything else works without it. If you tap No thanks, nothing is sent.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can delete your account in the app under Settings, or ask us by email. Deletion in the app is immediate. See Delete your account for the steps and for what is and is not removed.
Do you use cookies or analytics on this website?
No. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, trackers, third-party fonts or third-party scripts, so there is no cookie banner. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs. See Cookies and tracking.
Does it work offline?
You need an internet connection to sign in and to save and sync your logs to your account. Dose reminders are scheduled on your device. Some content you have already opened, such as a saved copy of a letter, can still be shown when you are offline. We are still checking exactly how much works offline, so please do not rely on it.
Which platforms is it on?
PEPTIDAL is being built for iPhone and Android. It is not on the App Store or Google Play yet. When it is, this site will say so and link to the listings.
Do I need Premium?
No. A free account lets you track one peptide or medicine and up to five supplements, and includes the calculator, the library, AL and the Insights charts. Premium removes the tracking limits and unlocks longer history and a few extras. See Pricing.
How much will Premium cost?
The planned standard prices are £7.99 a month or £49.99 a year. The annual plan works out cheaper over a year. Premium is billed by Apple or Google through your store account, and the price shown in the store when you buy is the one that applies.
What is the founding member offer?
A planned launch offer for the annual plan only: £34.99 a year (30 percent off the planned standard £49.99, about £2.92 a month), for the first 200 founding members. The plan is to keep that founding price for as long as your subscription continues without a break. It is planned for launch and is not available now, because the app is not on the stores yet. It ends when the 200 places are taken, or earlier if we end it. There is no countdown and no live counter on this site.
Does the founding price last?
The plan is that founding members keep £34.99 a year for as long as their subscription continues without a break. If you cancel and come back later, or the subscription lapses, the founding price may not be available again and the standard price would apply. The standard price is planned to be £49.99 a year. You can cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings at any time.
What does the free trial mean?
We plan to offer a 7-day free trial of Premium at launch, billed through Apple or Google. During the trial you can use Premium. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged the plan price. On Apple, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. The trial also applies to the founding member plan. The trial is not available yet.
How do I cancel Premium or a trial?
In your store account, not on this website. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose PEPTIDAL. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your PEPTIDAL account does not cancel a subscription.
What do you read from Apple Health and Health Connect?
Seven things, and only if you allow them: sleep, weight, body fat percentage, lean body mass, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate and VO2 max. Your phone asks permission for each type separately, and you can say no to any of them. PEPTIDAL reads only when you tap sync in Settings, and only after you have accepted the health information consent. It never writes to Apple Health or Health Connect, and a value you typed yourself is never overwritten.
The readings are saved to your private account and shown in Insights exactly as recorded. PEPTIDAL does not interpret them or tell you what they mean. AL never receives HRV, resting heart rate or VO2 max. Free accounts see 30 days of these readings, and Premium shows longer history. They are deleted when you delete your account. See the Privacy Policy.
Why are Apple and Android HRV numbers different?
Apple Health records heart rate variability as SDNN, and Health Connect on Android records it as RMSSD. They are two different ways of measuring it, so the numbers are not comparable. PEPTIDAL labels each one, keeps them separate and never mixes or compares them.
Who can use PEPTIDAL?
PEPTIDAL is for adults aged 18 or over. The app does not check your age, so it relies on you to follow this rule. See the Terms of Service.
What is the weekly letter?
A short weekly summary of published studies, the same for every reader. It reports what sources said, labels how strong the evidence is, and does not recommend anything. Every issue is checked by a named person before it is published. See Library and Letter.
Is my information private?
Your account and data are private to you. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. The app has no advertising, ad tracking, analytics or crash-reporting tools. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do I report a mistake or a problem?
Email hello@getpeptidal.com. If you think the library, a letter or an AL reply is wrong, tell us which one. In AL you can also tap Report this reply under any answer.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email us and we will send a copy, as CSV or JSON, within a month. There is no one-tap export of all data in the app yet. The app can build a summary PDF to share with a clinician if you have Premium.
Is PEPTIDAL tested or approved by a regulator?
No. PEPTIDAL is a personal tracking tool. It has not been approved or validated by any regulator and we make no claim that it is clinically validated.
PEPTIDAL is for tracking and information only. It is not medical advice and not a medical device. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about anything you take.
